(Some may still refer to them as Eskimos.) the Guardian travel pages features an article on a vacation where you can go and live with the Inuit on Baffin Island, Canada. I can never decide whether people/lifestyle tourism goes a step too far, but it's on offer for anyone who's interested in learning how to build their very own igloo.
These Come From Trees has come up with a way of reducing paper consumption - sticking a "these come from trees" sticker close-by. Paper towel usage was reduced by around 15% when these stickers were put on the dispenser. Each sticker therefore saves one tree. Wow. Go on, buy a pack of stickers, spread the message, feel the green glow.
Feeling like spreading the green message? TreeHugger t-shirts at cafepress are all full of inspring green messages - I particularly like "do the right thing. we won't tell anyone". I didn't check if they were on organic cotton though.
